In addition to the PPC University Curriculum, PRHI also offers workshops designed to help healthcare organizations who may not be able to commit to a four-day university.

Lean Problem Solving and Decision Making for Health Care

This one-day workshop will transform participants into critical thinkers who quickly address the root cause of problems and follow-through with the successful implementation of the countermeasures. From Standardization to A3 Reporting, our team of seasoned problem-solving specialists will teach the fundamental practices needed to make an immediate impact in the workplace. Through engaging lectures, discussions and hands-on exercises participants will:

• Discover the Lean tools for problem solving
• Distinguish methods to address the root causes of problems
• Determine how to implement Lean problem solving in their own organizations

Visual Management in Health Care

This half-day workshop will teach participants how to create a visual workplace that clearly communicates expectations, goals and performance indicators. Visual Management enables workers to easily see if standards are being met. Problems become more visible and can be immediately addressed, improving outcomes and the overall performance of your healthcare team. Through engaging lectures, discussions and hands-on exercises participants will:

• Discover the basic principles of Visual Management
• Apply the sequence of steps in the 5S Process
• Identify immediate opportunities where applications of Visual Management can be applied
