Patient Safety Fellowship

The Patient Safety Fellowship prepares participants to apply innovative methods and strategies in safety science, team-based problem-solving, systems thinking, and quality improvement for healthcare settings. Fellows get the opportunity to take a fresh look at promising patient safety solutions from some of the best local and national thought leaders in health care and weigh their merits.
Each iteration of the Patient Safety Fellowship examines patient safety challenges from a unique perspective and presents the material in a fresh and interdisciplinary environment.
The Patient Safety Fellowship takes place in the summer each year.
Who Should Apply
Graduate students (including AI, medicine, pharmacy, communications, health policy, administration, social work, etc), undergraduate students in health professions, and young professionals who are interested in safety, healthcare innovation, and digital transformation.
The cost to participate in the Patient Safety Fellowship program is fully covered for accepted applicants.
Applications will open in spring 2026 for the next Patient Safety Fellowship.
